Tenth edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange Archaeological
From 15 to 18 November 2007
In Paestum, Ariston at the Exhibition Center, will host the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange Archaeology which this year celebrates the tenth anniversary, a milestone for the only event in the world to promote discussion and the development of the segment of the archaeological heritage.
The initiative, promoted and coordinated by the Province of Salerno and by the Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Campania Region with the support of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and ICCROM International Centre for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, conceived and organized by the Leader sas, aims to promote destinations and sites of the Mediterranean countries, to create integration between different cultures, to promote the marketing specific tourism products, to increase economic opportunities and employment effects.
There are lectures, project presentations and round tables that make up an important chance for reflection and dissemination of issues and problems concerning the use and exploitation of the archaeological heritage. In addition to the National Conference of the consuls of the Italian Touring Club focused on the possibility of creating more quality for the Italian Tourism and the conference "Cultural Heritage and Tourism for Economic Cooperation and Development" with the participation of leaders of ICCROM, UNESCO, WTO, the Ministers of Tourism of the Mediterranean countries, is expected by Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Landscape Conference on "archaeological".
