On 21 June, the day of the summer solstice, is celebrated simultaneously in all major cities in Europe Day of Music, one of the most important annual events of international culture and entertainment.

Archaeological Site of Salerno and Avellino joins the initiative specifically focusing on the Museum of Narrative Heraion Foce Sele and planning at that place, to June 21, a series of guided tours of the site and a long festival of popular music. The Museum
Narrative of the sanctuary of Hera at Sele is not a conventional museum, the new concept, which explores, describes and evokes the fascinating history of the sanctuary of Argive Hera, monumental religious and famous in general of the Greek colony of Poseidon.
The exhibition offers an interesting path through films, audiovisual materials, three-dimensional reconstructions of the sanctuary and the stories of the sculptured metopes, which reproduced in a vacuum and suspended in a darkened room, light up progressively, while a voiceover, which seems to come from the sculpture, said, in the words of Homer and the ancient mythographers, the stories carved in stone.
In this context, popular music is part of an effective and natural.
The musical program, organized by the Daltrocanto provides the performance, starting at 19.00, music groups Picariello, seven mouths and Daltrocanto Company, each of which will offer a different interpretation of popular music, from the most traditional to more sensitive to other influences and contamination.

The first art exhibition to be held July 1 to 15, 2008, will be dedicated to personal painting by the Florentine artist Sergio Nardoni. The exhibition will open July 1, 2008 at 21:00. The artist will attend. The critical care and texts in the catalog of Gerardo Pecci.

Sergio Nardoni works in Florence, where he was born in 1947. Precocious talent, drawing from an early age and despite the family wanted to continue in the conduct of his father's small company, he enrolled at the Academy, after much study and practice of many messy crafts. The second art exhibition to be held July 16 to 30, 2008, will be devoted to the painting of the artist's personal Mantua Claudio Malacarne. The exhibition will open July 1, 2008 at 21:00. The artist will attend. The critical care and texts in the catalog of Gerardo Pecci.

Claudio Malacarne was born in Mantua in 1956. Age he discovered performing artist's first paintings at the age of 14 years. Over the year he attended the Master's study with Enrico Longfils methodical application, being able to develop that his painting that makes it one of the most prolific colorists of our time. He lives and works in Porto Mantovano Soave in the province of Mantua. His large paintings attracted the attention of all mainly because of their disruptive chromatic strength, fueled by a steady rhythmic play of colors. Its full-bodied strokes, lay down on the canvas with large gestural action, show a strong layout of considerable communication skills.
