MiBAC Paestum to "talk to the Archaeological Heritage" Virtual Archaeology and archaeological landscape.

The landscape, therefore, will be analyzed not as a mere "container" of history, but as "history" itself, even without monuments / documents that establish their value, through a definition of forms of protection not only more effective but also finally shared.

ArcheoVirtual space will be visible, at suitable locations between the projects included in Archaeology online: Villa della Regina in Boscoreale dedicated to viticulture and wine, and the Roman theater of Cassino, the virtual visit to the archaeological site of Elea - Velia. Friday, November 16 from 10:00 to 13:00 at Mercury Lounge will be held the conference on "ArcheoVirtual: results and prospects virtual archeology in Spain and Italy." In the second session of the meeting devoted to Archaeology in Italy and the virtual program "Archaeology Online," by the Directorate General for Technological Innovation and Promotion, will be the subject of detailed three-dimensional applied in the field of archeology, and object- both monuments and archeological sites, visible even through a virtual atlas, through the reconstruction of a GIS (Geographical Information System), allows you to insert them in their temporal context, spatial and landscape, suggesting a direct interaction with the user. We will consider some specific cases of actual and projected 3D under construction or still under study, analyzed from the archaeological point of view that technology: the virtual reconstruction of the Villa della Regina Boscoreale, the section area of \u200b\u200bthe Appian Way, the Roman theater Venafro, examples of 3D reconstructions of monuments of archaeological Spoletium. It will be finally presented the work that the Italian group on 3D Minerva EC has already started in order to achieve a development of guidelines for a quality 3D that include standards and methodologies for the digital representation of objects or scenes of interest for the study , research, conservation, protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
At the booth of MiBAC - Hall Argive Hera - will also be two meetings dedicated other areas of activity of Archaeology online teaching and new websites of museums and archaeological institutions.
